After an intensive evaluation process, the IPA Ex-ante Assessment in Aizawl East District has reached its culmination. The assessment commenced on July 3rd, 2023, and was carried out by two District Quality Assessment Teams formed by the District Health Team. Each team consisted of a Team Leader, IPA Assessors, and two NQAS assessors, ensuring a comprehensive and multi-faceted evaluation.
Team 1 embarked on their journey on July 3rd, starting from Aizawl and progressing towards Suangpuilawn. They spent the night in Darlawn and proceeded to Sakawrdai the next morning. After completing the assessment in Sakawrdai, the team returned to Darlawn, where they spent another night. On July 5th, they assessed the Darlawn Primary Health Centre (PHC) before returning to Aizawl.
Simultaneously, Team 2 also commenced their assessment on the same day. They visited Phuaibuang PHC, spent the night there, and then proceeded to Phullen PHC the following day. From Phullen, the team moved to Saitual, where they assessed the Saitual Community Health Centre (CHC). Finally, on July 5th, they returned to Aizawl, concluding their assessment journey.
The assessment continued on July 7th with the evaluation of ITI Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC). On July 11th, Thingsulthliah PHC was assessed, and the assessment process culminated with the evaluation of Sihphir UPHC on July 12th, 2023.
This comprehensive IPA Ex-ante Assessment plays a pivotal role in gauging the quality of healthcare services in Aizawl East District. By meticulously assessing various aspects of healthcare, including infrastructure, human resources, service provision, and adherence to quality standards, the assessment teams provide valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
The completion of this assessment signifies a significant step forward in the district's commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery. It serves as a foundation for informed decision-making, enabling the District Health Team to identify areas of strength and areas in need of development. The findings and recommendations derived from this evaluation will guide future interventions and policies aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for the residents of Aizawl East District.
