Enforcement of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 & Rules, 1945: The administrative wing ensures compliance with the regulations related to the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of drugs and cosmetics. It monitors the quality, safety, and efficacy of these products.
Implementation of the Drugs (Price Control) Order, 2013: The wing is responsible for monitoring and enforcing the pricing regulations of drugs as per the Drugs (Price Control) Order. It ensures that essential drugs are made available at reasonable prices to the public.
Regulation of Drugs & Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954: The administrative wing ensures that advertisements related to drugs and magic remedies are not misleading or promoting false claims. It takes action against objectionable advertisements and protects the public from misleading information.
Compliance with the Pharmacy Act, 1948: The administrative wing ensures the registration and regulation of pharmacies and pharmacists as per the provisions of the Pharmacy Act. It promotes the quality and ethical standards of pharmacy practice.
Enforcement of the Mizoram Poison Possessions & Sales Rules, 2015: The wing oversees the implementation of rules related to the possession and sale of poisonous substances. It ensures that these substances are handled, stored, and sold safely and responsibly.
Implementation of the Food Safety & Standard Act, 2006: The administrative wing is responsible for enforcing regulations related to food safety and standards. The Cigarettes and other tobacco products (Prohibition of advertisement distribution) Amendment Act, 2003: The wing enforces regulations that prohibit the advertisement and distribution of tobacco products. It promotes public health by reducing tobacco consumption and protecting people from the harmful effects of tobacco.
Implementation of the Medical Devices Rules, 2017: The administrative wing ensures compliance with the rules and regulations governing medical devices. It regulates the manufacturing, import, sale, and distribution of medical devices to ensure their quality, safety, and effectiveness.
